Coach Willis enters his second stint with the Vaqueros. He rejoins the Vaqueros after serving as head coach at Cabrillo High in Lompoc from 2014-16. Coach Willis also coached the defensive line in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl this past January and will be participating in the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship with the Seattle Seahawks in August, 2017. He is happy to be taking over the defensive line and assisting Defensive Coordinator Kevin Almlie.
Coach Willis graduated from Cabrillo High and attended the University of Washington and was part of the 1991 National Championship team that went 12-0. Coach Willis also enjoyed an eight-year NFL career where he played with the Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs. Coach Willis is married to Rebecca Willis and they have a blended family including 7 children: Justin (30), Christopher (28), Tiffani (25), Ted (25), Cy (25), Gabby (21) and Jae’Lynn (17).
