Coach Willis started his second stint with the Vaqueros in 2017. He was named Assistant Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator in June, 2018.
He was the head coach at Cabrillo High in Lompoc from 2014-16. Coach Willis also coached the defensive line in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in January 2017 and participated in the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship with the Seattle Seahawks in August, 2017.
Coach Willis graduated from Cabrillo High, attended the University of Washington and was part of the 1991 National Championship team that went 12-0. Coach Willis also enjoyed an eight-year NFL career where he played with the Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs. Coach Willis is married to Rebecca Willis and they have a blended family including 7 children: Justin (31), Christopher (29), Tiffani (26), Ted (26), Cy (26), Gabby (22) and Jae’Lynn (18).
