Nearly 50 Vaquero student-athletes, coaches and cheerleaders turned out for the American Heart Association Walk for Life on Saturday, Sept. 26.
Players from SBCC baseball, women's basketball and football redshirts joined with the Vaquero cheerleaders and coaches Sandrine Krul and Jeff Walker. They were supporting last week's Honorary Captain at the football game, Rayme Elliott, who lost her 2-year-old son to heart disease.
Rayme, along with directors within the AHA and local Santa Barbara leaders, were all surprised and impressed to see so many SBCC student-athletes giving their time to support Moms With Heart.
It was a great day for everyone and a wonderful opportunity for the greater Santa Barbara community to see just how special the student-athletes of SBCC really are!!
