Vaqueros drop season finale to L.A. Pierce, 3-0

L.A. Pierce won a close first set 25-23 and went on to sweep SBCC 3-0 on Friday night in a WSC North men’s volleyball match at the Sports Pavilion. The scores were 25-23, 25-18, 25-15.

Vaqueros hit season-high .351 in 3-0 sweep at AVC

SBCC recorded a season-best .351 hitting percentage on Wednesday night in a 3-0 men’s volleyball sweep at Antelope Valley. The scores were 25-17, 25-21, 25-17.

First-place Moorpark downs Vaqueros 3-1

Sean Reynaert had a career-high 21 kills on Friday night but it wasn’t enough as No. 9 Moorpark topped SBCC 3-1 in a WSC North men’s volleyball match at Moorpark. The scores were 25-22, 26-28, 25-12, 25-23.

L.A. Pierce topples Vaqueros 3-1

SBCC took the first set, then L.A. Pierce claimed the next three on Friday night in a 3-1 WSC North men’s volleyball win in Woodland Hills. The scores were 18-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-18.

Reynaert sparks 3-0 sweep over Antelope Valley

Sean Reynaert pounded a season-high 17 kills and hit .344 on Friday night, leading SBCC to a 25-17, 25-22, 25-15 men’s volleyball sweep over Antelope Valley in the Sports Pavilion.

Moorpark rallies past Vaqueros 3-2 in WSC opener

SBCC took a 2-1 lead in sets and a 7-4 lead in the fifth set on Friday night but Moorpark rallied back each time to hand the Vaqueros a 3-2 men’s volleyball setback in a WSC North opener at the Sports Pavilion. The scores were 25-17, 22-25, 18-25, 25-17, 15-8.

Dane Pieper had 13 kills and hit .379 on Wednesday night as No. 3 Santa Monica swept No. 10 SBCC 25-17, 25-22, 25-23 in a men’s volleyball match at Santa Monica.

After fast start, Vaqueros fall to No. 1 Irvine Valley 3-1

SBCC came out on fire on Friday night, dominating No. 1 Irvine Valley in the first set 25-13 before the Lasers came alive to post a 3-1 men’s volleyball victory at the Sports Pavilion. The scores were 13-25, 25-20, 25-9, 25-20.

No. 3 Santa Monica downs No. 10 Vaqueros 3-1

SBCC rallied from a 23-21 deficit to take the second set on Wednesday night but couldn’t maintain that momentum in a 3-1 men’s volleyball loss to No. 3 Santa Monica at the Sports Pavilion. The scores were 25-20, 25-27, 25-14, 25-19.

Sean Reynaert had 10 kills and hit. 450 on Friday but No. 10 SBCC couldn’t keep up with No. 5 Long Beach in a 3-1 men’s volleyball loss at the Sports Pavilion. The scores were 25-9, 19-25, 25-7, 25-15.

Jackson McDonough had eight kills on Wednesday night and Sean Reynaert had another big hitting night as SBCC swept L.A. Trade Tech 25-11, 25-13, 25-16 in a nonconference men’s volleyball match in Los Angeles.

PJ Tulikihihifo and Cesar Medina combined for 31 kills on Friday night, leading No. 7 El Camino to a 3-1 come-from-behind men’s volleyball win over No. 9 SBCC in the Sports Pavilion. The scores were 25-27, 26-24, 25-20, 25-16.

Golden West rode an efficient offense to a 25-16, 25-16, 25-13 sweep of visiting SBCC in a men’s volleyball match on Wednesday night in Huntington Beach.

Long Beach got off to a fast start on Friday night and went on to beat SBCC 3-1 in a men’s volleyball match at the Hall of Champions Gym. The scores were 25-21, 25-14, 21-25, 25-17.
