Cabrillo sweeps Vaqueros in season-opening DH

SBCC opened the 2016 baseball season in fine fashion, taking a 4-0 first-inning lead on Saturday at Pershing Park. But Cabrillo shut the No. 4 Vaqueros out over the last 17 innings and posted a pair of wins, 10-4 and 1-0.

Season Preview: Vaqueros re-load with stronger roster

SBCC has had great success in the last two baseball seasons, coming within a couple of wins of reaching the State Final Four. The Vaqueros are 60-26 in the last two campaigns, winning the WSC North title in 2015 and placing fifth in the state the last two years.
