Molina heading East; Signs with Division I Long Island University Sharks

Matt Molina, a Santa Barbara native who played high school football for Dos Pueblos before starring for Santa Barbara City College the past two seasons, has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his football career at Division I FCS Long Island University in Brookville, New York. Molina was named the Vaqueros' Most Valuable Lineman in 2019 after recording five sacks and 11 tackles for a loss in nine games last season.

Sage Sobrado overcame huge odds to play football for Santa Barbara City College and earn All-State honors in 2018. The 6-3, 295-pound sophomore center signed a national letter-of-intent on Wednesday as he accepted a full-ride scholarship to Southeast Missouri State.

Jacob Shultz has been named Defensive Player of the Year on the All-American Pacific League football team. He was one of 10 SBCC players to make the elite squad.

Pasadena blanks Vaqueros 35-0 in season finale

Bradley Kleven completed 18-of-26 passes for 183 yards and the SBCC defense held Santa Monica to 43 second-half yards as the Vaqueros rallied past the Corsairs 14-10 in an American Pacific League football game at Corsair Stadium.

SBCC’s defense came up big on Saturday while the offense struggled to find a rhythm in a 12-3 football loss to No. 23 Citrus on an overcast, drizzly day in Glendora.
