Saddleback downs Vaqueros 8-1

Saddleback won five of six singles and all three doubles on Tuesday to defeat SBCC 8-1 in a men's tennis match at Mission Viejo.

The Gauchos improved to 4-0 and the Vaqueros fell to 0-4 in their final nonconference match.

Emerson Sekban extended Riku Goto to three sets at No. 1 singles before falling 4-6, 6-2, 6-1. Ryan Chung got the Vaqueros' point at No. 3 singles, leading 2-6, 6-3, 2-0 when Jake Stivers retired.

The Vaqueros open Western State Conference play on Tuesday at L.A. Pierce.
