SBCC was seeded No. 9 for the Southern Regional softball playoffs and will travel to No. 8 Grossmont for a best-of-three series next weekend in El Cajon. Game 1 is Saturday at 3 p.m., Game 2 will be Sunday at noon and Game 3 will follow, if necessary.

Madison McNamee threw a perfect game in the opener and Rebecca Pullen tossed a two-hit shutout in the second game on Tuesday as SBCC swept a WSC Gold softball doubleheader at Oxnard. The scores were 13-0 and 12-0 and both games ended after five innings due to the eight-run rule.

The pitchers and catcher got it done for SBCC on Sunday as the Vaqueros posted a pair of shutouts to claim the title in their Bash at the Beach softball tournament at Pershing Park. Santa Barbara blanked Saddleback 8-0 in six innings and beat Fullerton 2-0 in the championship game.
