Jasmyne Perry is new SBCC Head Softball Coach

Santa Barbara City College Director of Athletics Rocco Constantino has announced the hiring of Jasymne Perry as the new Head Softball Coach of the Vaqueros. Perry, an SBCC alum, takes over for Justine Bosio, who resigned earlier this summer. Perry had been Bosio's assistant coach the past two seasons and played for SBCC during the 2010 and 2011 seasons.

SBCC Director of Athletics Rocco Constantino announced that Justine Bosio has resigned as Head Softball Coach after three seasons. A search for a new coach will begin immediately.

Oxnard spoils Vaqueros' WSC North opener, 11-2

Oxnard put up an eight-spot in the fourth inning on Thursday en route to an 11-2 softball win over SBCC in five innings in the WSC North opener at Pershing Park.

LoneTree, Del Campo have huge days as Vaqueros split at Orange Coast Tourney

SBCC piled up 25 runs on Saturday and came away with a softball split at the Orange Coast Tournament in Costa Mesa.

Canyons overpowers Vaqueros in twinbill

Kaitlyn Post went 3-4 with three straight doubles in Tuesday's softball opener and Jenna Rorick turned in two solid pitching performances to guide College of the Canyons to a doubleheader sweep of SBCC at Pershing Park. The scores were 8-1 and 10-2 in six innings.

LoneTree's slam helps Vaqueros split a day-night doubleheader

Emily LoneTree drilled a grand slam in the first inning on Saturday and SBCC went on to defeat Golden West 7-3 at Pershing Park. In a night game that started at 4:15 p.m., the Glendale Vaqueros built leads of 5-0, 7-1 and 11-3 on the way to a 12-8 win over the SBCC Vaqueros.

LoneTree powers offense; Vaqueros score 8 in 6th to beat Santa Monica, 14-6

Emily LoneTree went 3-3 with three RBIs and hit SBCC's first homer of the year on Friday as the Vaqueros rallied past Santa Monica 14-6 by scoring eight times in the sixth for a walk-off softball win at Pershing Park.

Carson Dunckley held L.A. Mission to one earned run on five hits in eight innings on Tuesday but the Eagles managed to get an unearned run in the eighth to beat SBCC 3-2 in a non-conference game at Pershing Park.

Riverside grabbed a 4-0 lead after two innings of Tuesday's softball season opener and Marissa-Lena Nares tossed a three-hit shutout, leading the Tigers past visiting SBCC 8-0 in five innings.
