L.A. Valley bounces cold-shooting Vaqueros from playoffs, 70-50

L.A. Valley started fast and never let up on Wednesday night in a 70-50 first-round win over SBCC in the Southern Cal Regional playoffs in front of 225 fans at the Sports Pavilion.

Van Quick, Parkhurst save the day for Vaqueros, 70-69

Ciera Van Quick tied the game with her only basket of the evening on Saturday night and Jordan Parkhurst won it with a free throw that lifted SBCC over Oxnard 70-69 in a WSC North women's basketball game at the Sports Pavilion.

No. 13 Ventura rides strong finish to 77-68 win over Vaqueros

SBCC built a 14-point lead on No. 13 Ventura on Wednesday night, thanks to four straight 3-pointers in the third quarter, then the Pirates outscored the Vaqueros 37-14 in the last 18 minutes to pull out a 77-68 women's basketball victory in the Sports Pavilion.

SBCC was on fire from the start on Friday, building leads of 11-1 and 18-3 on the way to a 76-62 women's basketball win over Golden West in the El Camino Crossover. It was the Vaqueros' final game of 2019 and the last SBCC game of the decade.
