Bio

Diego has been a cornerstone of the SBCC community since 2014, beginning his journey as the Life Fitness Center (LFC) first Lab Teaching Assistant. His diverse professional background includes roles as a Strength & Conditioning coach, Fitness Manager and even a successful stint as an entrepreneur running his own personal training business.

In 2023, Diego elevated his impact by stepping into a triple-threat role as Full-Time Professor, LFC Director, and Director of Sports Performance. Today, he is a driving force for student-athletes, working hands-on with various athletic teams while shaping the next generation of professionals through core courses in Health, PE, and Kinesiology.

Diego seamlessly bridges his extensive experience with a rigorous academic foundation. He holds a M.S. in Kinesiology from California Baptist University (2019) and a B.S. in Kinesiology from California State University Northridge (2012). He also holds elite industry credentials from both the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

When he isn’t optimizing athletic performance or leading a classroom, Diego is all about balance. He finds his greatest joy in traveling the world, making memories with his family, and simply soaking up everything life has to offer.
