Vaqueros post 15 All-American times

SBCC produced 15 All-American times in women’s swimming this year, including all five relays. All-American status is given to the top 16 times in the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA).

Vaqueros take 8th in State; Visser gets Performance of the Meet award

Rachelle Visser took second in the 200 butterfly and Katherine Warren turned in a stellar effort in the 1650 free as SBCC took eighth place on the final day of the CCCAA State Swimming Championships at East L.A. College.

Visser wins 2nd state title in record time

Rachelle Visser won her second state title in two days on Friday, topping the field in the 400 IM on Day 2 of the CCCAA State Swim Championships at East L.A. College.

Rachelle Visser captured the first State individual title for SBCC on Thursday, taking the 200 individual medley on Day 1 of the CCCAA State Swim Championships at East L.A. College.

Rachelle Visser was selected female Athlete of the Week by the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table. She received her award on Monday during the weekly press luncheon at Harry’s Plaza Café.

Rachelle Visser won the 200 butterfly and Katherine Warren dominated the 1650 freestyle on Saturday as SBCC claimed its first WSC women’s swimming championship in just the second year of the program.

Rachelle Visser captured the 400 IM on Friday and SBCC stretched its lead on Day 2 of the WSC Women’s Swimming Championships at the Ventura Aquatic Center.

Rachelle Visser won the 200 IM on Thursday and swam anchor on relay teams that took 1st and 2nd at the WSC Championships.
Warren rallies to win; Vaqueros in 1st at WSC Championships

Katherine Warren rallied to capture the 500 freestyle on Thursday and Rachelle Visser won the 200 IM as SBCC grabbed the lead on the first day of the WSC Championships at the Ventura Aquatic Center.

Rachelle Visser won the 200 butterfly and 400 IM, setting school records in both events, on the final day of the Pasadena Invitational women’s swim meet.

Warren, Visser guide Vaqueros to WSC home win

Katherine Warren won two events and lowered her school record in the 1000 free, leading SBCC to its second straight WSC women’s swimming victory in WSC No. 3 at San Marcos High.

Ashley Macedo recorded personal bests in the 100 breaststroke and 100 butterfly.
Warren sets school record; Vaqueros win WSC No. 2

Katherine Warren set a school record in the 1000 freestyle on Saturday and also won the 500 free, leading SBCC to first place in WSC No. 2 at Paul Nelson Pool in Santa Maria.

Alaina Chela, a freshman from Traverse City, Mich., won the 100 butterfly and took second in the 200 IM in WSC No. 1 on Friday.
