SBART honors Emily Reilly as SBCC's Scholar-Athlete of the Year

Emily Reilly has been selected as SBCC's Scholar-Athlete of the Year by the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table.

SBCC finished second in a WSC meet for the first time in five years. Cuesta won WSC No. 2 in San Luis Obispo, snapping the Vaqueros' win streak at 135 straight.

Cuesta did something on Saturday that no Western State Conference school has been able to do for the last five years -- beat SBCC in a women's swimming & diving meet.

Smulders, Kay spark Vaqueros to victory in WSC No. 1

Myra Smulders posted two wins and a relay victory on Friday and Allison Kay won the 1,000-yard freestyle to guide SBCC to first in WSC No. 1 women's swimming and diving meet at Citrus College in Glendora.

Vaqueros claim season-opening WSC Preview; extend WSC streak to 123 straight

Annie Ackert and Hana Wigzell led the charge for SBCC as the Vaqueros claimed the WSC Preview swimming and diving title on Friday at the Ventura Aquatic Center.
