Swim Dominates at WSC #1
VENTURA – The SBCC women's swim and dive team began conference competition with another first place finish at WSC #1 hosted by Allan Hancock.
The Vaqueros took first place in 10 different events and finished with a team score of 881, four points higher than the combined score of every other team in action.
Santa Barbara got big days from all over its roster, with Isabella Urlando and Gabrielle Muehring each finishing first in four different events. Urlando went number one in the 200 IM, 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke. Muehring joined her on the first place 200 Medley Relay team, was a part of the winning 200 Freestyle Relay squad, and won the 50 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke.
Morgan Cederholm scored a 221.05 for a first place diving finish and Makenna Bloom won both the 50 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle.
On top of their 10 event wins, the Vaqueros also combined for 11 second and third place finishes.
