Vaqueros Claim 10th Consecutive WSC Title
SANTA MONICA, Calif – The Santa Barbara City College women's swimming and diving team extended its reign over the Western State Conference this weekend, securing its 10th straight WSC championship with a commanding 840-point performance.
Thursday, Day 1
The Vaqueros opened the meet with a record-breaking victory in the 200 Freestyle Relay, as Maddie Myers, Lily Carrick, Leah Rummelhoff, and Erin Otsuki touched the wall in 1:38.27, shaving nearly three-tenths of a second off the school record and beating runner-up Ventura by more than six seconds.
Carrick captured first in the 500 Free, with teammates Sofia Paez and Addie Lane finishing second and third. Otsuki claimed second in the 200 Individual Medley, while Rummelhoff won the 50 Free.
