McDaniel-Usher qualify for State tourney

Gabriela McDaniel and Kenzie Usher of SBCC qualified for the State Tournament on Friday by knocking off Dania Huacuja and Lela Faasua of Ventura 6-3, 7-5 on the final day of the WSC Women’s Tennis Tournament at Ventura College.

Gabriela McDaniel and Kenzie Usher of SBCC qualified for the State Tournament on Friday by knocking off Dania Huacuja and Lela Faasua of Ventura 6-3, 7-5 on the final day of the WSC Women's Tennis Tournament at Ventura College.

They advanced to the State Individual tourney, which will be held on April 24-27 during The Ojai Tournament.

Teresa Downey, the Vaqueros' No. 1 player, previously qualified for State in singles and in doubles with partner Monica Kunz.
