SBCC takes Battle of the Vaqueros, 7-2

SBCC took a 4-2 lead in singles, then swept the three doubles matches on Tuesday to knock off Glendale 7-2 in a WSC women's tennis match at Glendale.

The first-place Vaqueros (6-1, 4-0) posted their fourth straight win. The Glendale Vaqueros fell to 2-2 and 2-1.

Jamaica Buyse, Victoria Dafos, Jule Lauinger and Maddie Mitchell earned the singles points. Buyse and her sister, Joica, took the No. 1 doubles 8-4 and Anya Nicolaides and Dafos claimed the No. 2 set, 8-2.

The Vaqueros return to the courts on Thursday when they host Victor Valley for a 2 p.m. conference match.
