Nine Vaqueros make All-WSC team

Jessica Escalante, Olivia Loy and Anyel Thomas received first-team All-Western State Conference Track & Field honors and six other Vaqueros made the elite squad.

Jessica Escalante, Olivia Loy and Anyel Thomas received first-team All-Western State Conference Track & Field honors and six other Vaqueros made the elite squad.

Escalante was all-conference in the javelin, 100 and 200 meters; Loy made it in the 200 and 400 and Thomas in the triple jump. Escalante and Loy both took fourth in the State Meet to earn All-American honors in the javelin and 200, respectively. Loy ran the 2nd-fastest 200 in school history at the Mt. SAC Invitational (24.97) and Escalante had the fourth-longest SBCC throw (38.92 meters) in the State meet.

Juliette Alliaume (100 high hurdles, high jump) and Hailey Brundy (javelin) were second-team choices.

Honorable mention went to Emilie Arnoldi (long jump, triple jump), Alyssa Garrett (400 hurdles), Dean Roell (1500) and Marla Bonser (200, 400).
