Katelynn Womack, Shiloe Parsons and Kaitlyn Clemann, three key members of SBCC's WSC championship women's volleyball team last fall, will continue their careers at NCAA schools.
Tristen Thompson, one of the best liberos in the state and a first-team All-WSC choice, previously signed with Chico State where she'll play with her twin sister Torey.
Womack was the WSC North Player of the Year and an All-State selection on a 25-4 Vaquero squad that won its fourth straight conference crown and finished fifth in the state. She'll play beach volleyball for Concordia University, an NCAA Div. 2 school in Irvine.
"Katelynn is such a dynamic hitter and has a very diverse offensive package," said SBCC assistant coach Lisa Gera. "She had a lot of responsibility on the court, is a six-rotation player, and is a big reason why we were so successful in the fall.
"She is a great kid who deserves to play at the next level. With sand volleyball becoming a NCAA Championship sport in 2016, it is a great opportunity for our athletes to compete at a high level. Concordia is a great fit for her and she should make an immediate impact for their program."
Parsons, a freshman setter from Coronado, Calif., will play indoors at San Francisco State. Clemann, a 5-10 outside hitter, will also transfer to San Francisco State. Parsons was fourth in the state with 992 assists and Clemann was third on the Vaqueros with 184 kills.
"We could not be more proud of Shiloe and Kaitlyn for finding a home and committing to SF State," said Gera. "Shiloe and Kaitlyn were some of the hardest workers in our gym and I attribute much of our success this past season because of their contribution to our team.
"These three young ladies exemplify what our program is about and we wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors."
