Ventura sweeps Vaqueros in season finale

Gabi Brewer and Madi Mullins recorded 11 kills apiece on Friday but it wasn’t enough to prevent Ventura from posting a 3-0 sweep in the season finale at Ventura. The scores were 25-22, 25-18, 25-18.

No. 12 Moorpark downs Vaqueros 3-0

Moorpark dominated the first two sets in Friday night’s women’s volleyball home finale, then weathered a stirring comeback by SBCC to finish off a 3-0 sweep at the Sports Pavilion. The scores were 25-15, 25-17, 25-22.

Cuesta sweeps Vaqueros 3-0

Things were quite different on Wednesday night in the second women’s volleyball meeting between SBCC and Cuesta in San Luis Obispo.

Madi Mullins had 11 kills, seven digs and two aces on Friday night to spark SBCC to a 3-1 WSC North win in Woodland Hills. The scores were 25-19, 24-26, 25-15, 25-14.

Vaqueros storm back to clip L.A. Mission, 3-2

SBCC fell behind 2-0 on Wednesday night, then won the last three sets to nip L.A. Mission 3-2 for its first 5-set victory of the season. The scores were 22-25, 22-25, 25-23, 25-23, 15-6.

Moorpark hit .349 on Wednesday in a 25-17, 25-13, 25-16 women’s volleyball sweep of visiting SBCC.

Cuesta rallies past Vaqueros for 3-2 win

SBCC played its first five-set match of the year on Friday night and the Vaqueros were one point away from victory. But that point never came as Cuesta erased a 14-12 deficit by scoring the last four points in a 16-14 fifth-set win at the Sports Pavilion.

Vaquero hitters are hot in 64-minute sweep

SBCC posted its second-highest hitting percentage and its fewest errors on Wednesday in a 64-minute women’s volleyball sweep of L.A. Pierce in the Sports Pavilion. The scores were 25-15, 25-14, 25-18.

Ventura downs Vaqueros on record-setting night

SBCC set an all-time scoring record on Friday night while losing a 3-1 WSC North women’s volleyball match to Ventura. The scores were 25-20, 43-45, 25-13, 25-19.

Gabi Brewer had a stellar all-around performance on Wednesday night, leading SBCC to a 25-12, 25-14, 25-15 sweep of the Cal Lutheran JV in a 63-minute match at the Sports Pavilion.

Antelope Valley tops Vaqueros, 3-0

SBCC got off to a slow start on Wednesday night and never recovered in a 3-0 women’s volleyball loss to Antelope Valley in Lancaster. The scores were 25-16, 25-16, 26-24.

No. 24 Golden West outlasts Vaqueros, 3-1

Gabi Brewer and Madi Mullins both posted season highs of 15 kills on Friday night but SBCC still came out on the short end of a 3-1 women's volleyball loss to No. 24 Golden West in Huntington Beach. The scores were 26-24, 25-17, 24-26, 25-13.

SBCC hit a season-high .359 on Wednesday night and upended No. 25 Canyons 3-1 for its first women’s volleyball win of the season. The scores were 25-17, 26-24, 19-25, 25-21.
