Taylor Brooks tossed in six goals on eight shots and Jayde Manascalco had a season-high 10 saves as SBCC routed L.A. Pierce 17-4 on the first day of the Vaqueros’ Halloween Invitational at Santa Barbara High.

Taylor Brooks poured in six goals and made four steals on Saturday, leading No. 3 SBCC to a 12-8 upset of top-ranked Riverside in the 21st MidState Invitational at Cuesta College.

Ackert, Wigzell combine for 7 goals in 10-4 win over Ventura

Annie Ackert and Hana Wigzell poured in seven goals on Wednesday to spark SBCC to a 10-4 WSC win over Ventura in its women’s water polo home opener at Santa Barbara High.

Brooks scores 7 goals in two wins; Johnson gets rare shutout

SBCC dominated the first halves on Friday morning on the way to two victories on Day 1 of the Riverside Tournament. The Vaqueros topped previously unbeaten Golden West 12-7 and then notched a rare 14-0 shutout of Orange Coast.

The Vaqueros are off to a 5-0 start under sixth-year coach Chuckie Roth. They've won 30 or more games for three straight years with a combined record of 94-10.
