Meulman takes 25th in WSC Preview

SBCC freshman Hannemijn Meulman placed 25th in the WSC Preview women's cross country race on Friday at the Fairbanks Course in San Luis Obispo.

Meulman ran 22:39 and teammate Danelle Tucker was 56th in 26:28.

Samantha Barajas of Moorpark cruised to a 38-second win with an 18:55 clocking in the 3-mile race hosted by Cuesta College. Ventura's Olivia Burton was second in 19:33 and Sophia Cortina of Moorpark took third in 19:43.

Glendale won the team title, edging Moorpark by two points, 41-43. Ventura was third with 70 points.

The Vaqueros will run in the Moorpark Run and Roar on Friday at 9:30 a.m.
