Former SBCC and Cal Poly baseball star Zack Zehner was named MVP of the Double-A Eastern League All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 12 in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Cypress ends Vaqueros’ season, 6-1

Cypress got its second straight solid pitching effort on Saturday as sophomore right-hander Henry Martinez went eight innings in a 6-1 baseball win over SBCC at Pershing Park.

Quezada shuts out Vaqueros in Regional opener, 9-0

Andrew Quezada pitched shutout ball for eight innings on Friday and Spencer Hereford finished up as No. 11 Cypress blanked No. 6 SBCC 9-0 in a Southern Cal Regional baseball playoff opener at Pershing Park.

Vaqueros seeded 6th in Regional, will host Cypress in best-of-3

SBCC was seeded No. 6 for the 18-team Southern Cal Regional baseball playoffs. The Vaqueros will host No. 11 Cypress on Friday at 2 p.m. in the opener of a best-of-3 series at Pershing Park.

Ventura blanks Vaqueros 8-0 in WSC finale

Ventura scored six runs in the eighth on Thursday and went on to beat visiting SBCC 8-0 in the final WSC North baseball game of the year.

Vaqueros top Oxnard 9-6 to clinch tie for WSC North title

SBCC snapped a 3-3 tie with five runs in the sixth on Monday afternoon and went on to beat Oxnard 9-6 in a key WSC North baseball game at Pershing Park.

Andrew Schatz had a two-run double and a solo homer on Saturday but SBCC came out on the short end of a 7-5 baseball decision at Moorpark.

Five-run eighth lifts first-place Vaqueros over Moorpark, 9-5

Santa Barbara improved to 13-3 at home. The Vaqueros took a 3-0 lead in the first, a 4-2 advantage in the fifth on an RBI single by Reinhard Lautz, then fell behind 5-4 after the Raiders (17-19, 9-7) scored single runs in the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth innings.

Orange Coast scores two in ninth to beat Vaqueros 8-6

After erasing a four-run deficit to tie the game 6-6 in the seventh on Friday, SBCC gave up a pair of runs in the ninth and No. 2 Orange Coast pulled out an 8-6 nonconference baseball victory at Pershing Park.

Kyle Wade tossed five shutout innings on Thursday and Tyler Rosen drove in the only run with an RBI single in the fourth as SBCC upset No. 2 Orange Coast 1-0 in a nonconference baseball game at Pershing Park.

No. 6 Riverside rallies past Vaqueros, 5-4

Peter McEvoy blooped a two-out single into short left field on Tuesday and John Gonzalez sprinted home from first base to lift No. 6 Riverside to a 5-4 walkoff win over SBCC in a nonconference baseball game at Samuel Evans Park.
