Ventura goes 3-crazy in 109-63 win

Ventura converted 16-of-28 from 3-point range on Wednesday night in a 109-63 men’s basketball victory over SBCC. The Pirates closed the first half on a 36-14 run to build a 58-28 advantage at intermission.

Tejon Williams poured in 21 of his season-high 29 points in the second half on Saturday night but SBCC came up short in a 74-62 men’s basketball loss to Moorpark at the Sports Pavilion.

Martin Pedersen poured in a season-high 27 points on Wednesday night and Tejon Williams had 23 but it wasn’t enough for SBCC, which lost to Oxnard 95-91 in a WSC North men’s basketball shootout at the Sports Pavilion.

SBCC guard Tejon Williams has been named Athlete of the Week by the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table. The award was presented at Monday's weekly press luncheon of the SBART and goes to the top male performance of the week for all the high schools and colleges in the Santa Barbara area.
