3 Vaqueros make State Soccer Scholar-Athlete team

Three members of the SBCC men’s soccer team have been named to the inaugural 2013 State Soccer Scholar-Athlete team. Defender Dylan Murphy, forward Pontius Olsen and goalie Logan Deeney were chosen for the elite squad.

Four Vaqueros get scholarships to Hawaii-Hilo

Two SBCC football players signed letters-of-intent to play at four-year schools on Wednesday in the press box of La Playa Stadium. For the Vaquero soccer teams, it was a package deal with two women going to Cal State San Bernardino and four men heading to Hawaii-Hilo.

Jamie Sporcic scored an open-net goal on a rebound in the 70th minute Tuesday night and SBCC went on to beat Canyons 2-1 in a WSC men’s soccer match at La Playa Stadium.
