SBCC sophomore Saralisa Ortega turned in an 84 on Tuesday and tied for 13th in the Southern Cal Regional women’s golf tournament at Temecula Creek Inn.

SBCC takes third in WSC No. 5

A longer course led to higher scores on Monday and SBCC finished third for the first time this year in WSC No. 5 women’s golf action at Kern River GC in Bakersfield. The Vaqueros were second to Canyons in the first four WSC meets.

Vaqueros are second in WSC No. 4

Saralisa Ortega shot 84 and took fourth on Wednesday while SBCC was second in WSC No. 4 at San Dimas Canyon Golf Course. Nicole Reynolds and Sara Pettersson added 90s for the Vaqueros, who shot 358.

Season Preview: Young Vaqueros open at Desert Classic

SBCC had a dream season last year when it captured its third State women’s golf title in the last eight years. The Vaqueros went 69-3 overall and were a perfect 32-0 in Western State Conference play.
