Four SBCC student-athletes signed national letters-of-intent on Friday during a Signing Ceremony at the Sports Pavilion.

Fresno City College spoiled SBCC’s bid for a CCCAA Women’s Soccer State title on Sunday, taking a 2-0 second-half lead and then hanging on for a 2-1 win at American River College in Sacramento.

Katherine Sheehy scored on a leaping header at 58:21 and SBCC’s defense shut down Cerritos 1-0 on Saturday night in a Southern Cal Regional Final women’s soccer match at a foggy La Playa Stadium.

Lourdes Gilbert scored two goals in a four-minute span of the first half and No. 1 SBCC went on to blank No. 17 Antelope Valley 4-0 on Friday night in the first round of the So Cal Regional women's soccer playoffs at La Playa Stadium.

SBCC received the No. 1 seed in the Southern Cal Regional women’s soccer playoffs for the first time ever and will host a playoff game on Saturday at 7 p.m. in La Playa Stadium.

SBCC scored four goals in the first 17 minutes on Friday and the second-ranked Vaqueros went on to rout Cuesta 9-0 in the last WSC North women’s soccer match of the year.

SBCC scored four second-half goals on Tuesday night, including three in a six-minute span, to blank Ventura 4-0 in a women’s soccer match at the VC Sportsplex.
