Vaqueros take fifth in 400 free relay, finish 10th in State Championships

Sophomore Kelee Shimizu took seventh in the 1650 freestyle and SBCC grabbed fifth in the meet-closing 400 free relay to finish 10th in the CCCAA State Championships at De Anza College in Cupertino.

Shimizu, Wigzell take sixth and seventh on Day 2 of State Meet

Kelee Shimizu placed sixth in the 200 free on Friday afternoon and Hana Wigzell was seventh in the 400 IM as SBCC remained in ninth place after Day 2 of the CCCAA Women’s State Swimming & Diving Championships at De Anza College in Cupertino.

Vaqueros in ninth after first day of State Championships

The 200 free relay placed seventh on Thursday and SBCC is tied for ninth after Day 1 of the CCCAA Women’s State Swimming & Diving Championships at De Anza College in Cupertino.

Hana Wigzell, a freshman from Sandy, Oregon, made first-team All-WSC in three individual events and four relays.
14 Vaqueros make All-WSC in numerous events

Fourteen members of the SBCC women's swimming and diving team made the All-Western State Conference team in a multitude of events.

SBCC went 26-0 to claim its fifth straight WSC title. The Vaqueros have 114 straight WSC wins and are 128-4 in conference in their six seasons.

Hana Wigzell had a big day on Saturday with two wins and a relay victory as SBCC captured its fifth straight WSC women's swimming & diving championship at the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center.

Vaqueros stretch lead to 123 on Day 2 of WSC Championships

SBCC didn’t have any individual wins on Friday but still managed to expand its lead to 123 points on Day 2 of the WSC women’s swimming & diving championships at the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center.

Parson sparks Vaqueros to first-day lead in WSC Championships

Sarah Parson held her breath to secure a victory in the 50 freestyle and the 400 medley relay held off Ventura as SBCC grabbed the first-day lead in the WSC women’s swimming & diving championships at the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center.

Four Vaqueros sign with four-year schools

Four SBCC student-athletes from the aquatics program have signed to play with four-year schools.

Kelee Shimizu captured the 200 freestyle and had four other top-6 finishes, leading SBCC to third place in the 19th annual Pasadena Invitational swimming & diving meet.

Kelee Shimizu won the 1650 free, placed third in the 100 free and swam on two winning relays on Friday as SBCC continued its WSC swimming and diving dominance with a victory in WSC No. 3 at San Marcos High.
