Bunderson falls in Round of 32 at State

SBCC sophomore Tyler Bunderson came up short in her Round of 32 match on Friday at the CCCAA State Women’s Tennis Championships at the 117th Ojai Tournament.

SBCC’s Tyler Bunderson upset No. 10 Mar Burgueno in three sets on Thursday to reach the Round of 32 in the CCCAA State Women’s Tennis Championships at the Ojai Tournament.

Five Vaqueros qualify for State Championships

Five SBCC women’s tennis players – two in singles and two doubles teams – qualified for the CCCAA State Championships at Ojai, thanks to their performances in the WSC Championships on Saturday at Ventura College.

2 singles and a doubles team advance in WSC Championships

A pair of SBCC singles players moved into the Round of 16 and a doubles team reached the quarterfinals on Friday in the WSC Women’s Tennis Championships at Ventura College.

Vaqueros get two wins in team season finale

SBCC got two wins in one match on Tuesday as it blanked Victor Valley 9-0 in a WSC women’s tennis match in Victorville. The match counted as two wins to make up for a previous match at SBCC that was rained out.

Vaqueros roll over Antelope Valley 9-0

Brenna Casey, Julianna Adelman, Josephine Pulver and Natasha Fleischer all won singles and doubles points on Tuesday as SBCC cruised past Antelope Valley 9-0 in a WSC women’s tennis match in Lancaster.

First-place Glendale tops SBCC 7-2

Glendale grabbed a 5-1 advantage in singles on Thursday and went on to defeat SBCC 7-2 in a WSC North women’s tennis match at Pershing Park.

SBCC spotted Palomar the first two singles on Friday, then reeled off seven straight wins for a 7-2 women’s tennis triumph on the road.

Laura Berther and Lesly Zapata De Lira gave SBCC a 4-3 lead with an 8-1 doubles win on Tuesday at Bakersfield, then the Renegades claimed the final two doubles to pull out a 5-4 women’s tennis victory.

After tying the singles 3-3, Santa Monica took the Nos. 1 and 2 doubles on Tuesday to edge SBCC 5-4 in a WSC women’s tennis match at Santa Monica.

Josephine Pulver, a freshman from San Marcos High, got both Vaquero points with a 6-0, 6-0 singles win and an 8-1 doubles win with Paige Jensen.
