Vaqueros grab 13th in State Championships

SBCC ran its fastest time of the season on Saturday and took 13th place in the CCCAA State Championship women’s cross country meet at Woodward Park in Fresno.

Kylie Walker, left, took 43rd in 19:55 and Dean Roell was 67th at Southern Cal Championships.
Vaqueros earn third straight trip to State

All six SBCC runners turned in season bests on Friday and the Vaqueros took 12th out of 27 women’s cross country teams in the Southern Cal Championships at Woodley Park in Van Nuys.

Michaela Dahringer of Sweden led the Vaqueros for the third straight meet.
Dahringer helps Vaqueros qualify for So Cal Championships

Michaela Dahringer took 16th in 22:10 on Friday in the WSC Championships at Arroyo Verde Park in Ventura and SBCC advanced to the Southern Cal Regional women’s cross country meet.

Seidel runs season best at historic Mt. SAC course

Carly Seidel ran a season-best 23:52 to take 110th place in the 67th annual Mt. SAC Invitational women’s community college race on Friday. Teammate Natalie Linton was 127th in 26:44 on the 3-mile course in Walnut.

Dahringer is 17th in SBCC Invitational

Michaela Dahringer ran 21:31 on the 5K course on Friday to take 17th in the SBCC Invitational women’s cross country meet at Shoreline Park. Kylie Walker was 29th in 22:25 for the Vaqueros, who placed seventh out of 10 teams with 147 points.

Vaqueros take sixth in WSC Preview

Michaela Dahringer placed 20th and Kylie Walker took 26th on Friday, helping SBCC to a sixth-place finish in the WSC Preview women’s cross country meet at Kenneth Hahn Park in Los Angeles.

Dean Roell finished 50th in a field of 181 runners on Friday, leading SBCC to 16th place in the Southern Cal Preview women’s cross country race at Woodley Park in Van Nuys.

Season Preview: Vaqueros seek 3-peat to State Meet

Coach Scott Fickerson hopes three is the magic number for his SBCC women’s cross country team. The Vaqueros are seeking their third straight trip to the State Championships at Woodward Park in Fresno.

Team captain Dean Roell passed dozens of runners in the last two miles on Friday to move from 48th to 22nd at the Ventura Invitational, leading SBCC in its first women’s cross country meet of the season.
