SBCC registered 16 All-American marks in women’s swimming & diving in 2017. The top 16 times in each event receive All-American status from the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA).

SBCC's Alex Humann made first-team All-WSC Swimming & Diving in five swimming events and second team in the 200 medley relay. Humann, a sophomore from San Francisco, was a first-team choice in the 100, 200 and 500 freestyle as well as the 400 and 800 free relays.

Jacobson is SBART Athlete of the Week

Gina Jacobson was selected Athlete of the Week by the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table and honored at Monday’s final press luncheon of the year at Harry’s Plaza Café. The award is given to the top male and female performer from all the local high schools, plus UCSB, Westmont and SBCC.

SBCC shattered the school record in the 800 free relay on Friday night and Gina Jacobson placed third in 3-meter diving on Day 2 of the CCCAA State Swimming & Diving Championships at East L.A. Swim Stadium.

Gina Jacobson captured the 1-meter State diving title and set a State record with 246.85 points, breaking a nine-year-old mark.
