Daurelle makes Round of 16 at State Championships

Guillaume Daurelle won his Round of 32 match easily on Friday morning, then ran into the No. 1 seed in the CCCAA Men’s Tennis State Championships at Rio Mesa High.

Daurelle moves into Round of 32 in State Championships

SBCC’s Guillaume Daurelle swept his only singles match on Thursday, cruising past Elliott Gross of Cabrillo 6-3, 6-2 on the first day of the CCCAA State Men’s Tennis Championships.

Guillaume Daurelle and Pierre Alexandre Fumat qualified for the State men’s tennis tournament on Saturday on Day 2 of the WSC Individual Tournament at Ventura College.

SBCC won the first five singles on Thursday, dropping just nine games in 10 sets on the way to an 8-1 win over Bakersfield at Pershing Park.

Santa Barbara City College battled Glendale College in a back-and-forth tennis match Thursday, ultimately dropping the match 5-4 when Glendale pulled off an 8-2 win in second doubles.

Ventura sweeps Vaqueros, 9-0

Ventura swept all six singles matches in straight sets on Thursday on the way to a 9-0 WSC West win over visiting SBCC.

Pierce edges Vaqueros 5-4 on final tiebreaker

SBCC played as close a men’s tennis match as you can play without winning in Tuesday’s WSC opener at Pershing Park. L.A. Pierce pulled out the 5-4 triumph by taking an 8-6 tiebreaker at No. 3 doubles.

SBCC went 2-1 in doubles on Friday, then swept the first four singles to secure an 8-1 men's tennis win at Fullerton.

Vaqueros down Saddleback 6-3 for first win

SBCC won the first two doubles points on Thursday and then took the first four singles matches to secure its first men’s tennis victory of the year. The Vaqueros (1-3) knocked off Saddleback 6-3 in Mission Viejo.
