Four Vaqueros sign with 4-year schools from coast to coast

Four student-athletes from the SBCC women’s basketball team signed with four-year schools on Thursday to continue playing from coast to coast.

King makes All-State and All-WSC North

Destinee King has been named All-State South Region and first team All-WSC North in women’s basketball.

Destinee King poured in 30 points with 15 rebounds and five blocks. She posted her 16th double-double for the second straight year and led the WSC North in scoring (21.8), rebounding (11.7) and blocked shots (2.1).
No. 10 Ventura uses 3-point barrage to beat Vaqueros 90-67

Rhianna Dougan and Katie Campbell combined for 50 points and 11 3-pointers on Saturday night, leading No. 10 Ventura to a 90-67 women’s basketball win over SBCC that secured the Pirates’ 27th straight WSC North title.

Moorpark downs Vaqueros 70-56

Moorpark used a 14-2 run to open the second quarter and a 9-2 burst to start the fourth to defeat SBCC 70-56 in a WSC North women’s basketball game at Moorpark.

SBCC held Hancock to eight points in three of four quarters on Saturday night on the way to a 64-41 women's basketball victory at the Sports Pavilion.

Turnovers hinder Vaqueros in 66-57 road loss

Oxnard broke open a tie game by finishing on a 15-6 run Wednesday night to register a 66-57 women’s basketball victory over visiting SBCC.

King, Clark notch double-doubles in 82-73 win over Cuesta

SBCC went on a 17-4 run at the end of the third quarter and start of the fourth on Saturday night to pull away from Cuesta on the way to an 82-73 women’s basketball triumph in the Sports Pavilion.

Jocelin Petatan, a 5-7 sophomore from Santa Barbara High, had 11 points and four rebounds on Thursday night. She's averages 7.7 points and 7.5 rebounds while leading the squad in FG shooting (48.8%) and steals (2.2).
Vaqueros cruise past L.A. Pierce, 72-42

SBCC jumped out to a 22-7 lead on Thursday night and went on to rout L.A. Pierce 72-42 in a nonconference women’s basketball game in Woodland Hills.

No. 6 Ventura shoots past Vaqueros 95-43

Ventura started fast on Saturday night and never looked back in a 95-43 win over SBCC at the Athletic Event Center.

Destinee King poured in a career-high 31 points with 17 rebounds, six blocks, four assists and three steals on Saturday night as SBCC rallied for an 80-71 victory in its WSC North women’s basketball opener at Cuesta.

King gets fifth straight double-double; Vaqueros claim consolation crown

Destinee King collected 26 points and 12 rebounds on Sunday and Stella Dulay continued her hot 3-point shooting to help SBCC down Sacramento City 71-64 for the consolation title of the Don Warkentin Memorial women’s basketball tournament at West Hills-Lemoore College.
