Jessica Escalante was named female Athlete of the Week by the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table on Monday during the weekly press luncheon at Harry's Plaza Café. The award is given to the top performer in Santa Barbara for all high school and college sports.

SBCC’s Dominique Hinds ran the sixth-fastest time in school history on Saturday in the 400 at the Soka Invitational women’s track and field meet in Aliso Niguel. The event featured seven four-year schools, including UC San Diego and Westmont, as well as two other Community College teams and a few club and unattached athletes.
